Calton Hill is a hill in central Edinburgh situated beyond the east end of Princess Street. It is the location of several monuments and buildings including the National Monument, the Nelson Monument, the Dugald Stewart Monument, the City Observatory. Calton Hill is the venue for a number of events throughout the year.
It has been used as a location for many films.

Scott Monument is a Victorian Gothic monument to Scottish author sir Walter Scott. It is the second largest monument to the writer in the world. It stands in Princess Street Gardens, near to Edinburgh Waverley Railway Station, which is named after Scott's Waverley novels.
Royal Mile is a succession of streets forming the main thoroughfare of the Old Town of the city of Edinburgh. The Royal Mile runs between two significant locations in the royal history of Scotland: Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace. The total length of the streets between the Castle and the Palace is almost exactly a mile (1,6 km).
Context Museum UK is a retailer of officially licensed Harry Potter merchandise. It is located on Victoria Street
St Giles' Cathedral is a parish church of the Church of Scotland in the Old Town of Edinburgh. The current building was begun in the 14th century and extended until the early 16th century. Since the medieval period,
St Giles' has been the site of nationally important events and services. The church is one of Scotland's most popular visitor sites.
National Museum of Scotland contains the national collections of Scottish archaeological finds,
medieval objects as well as artefacts from around the world.
Edinburgh Castle stands on Castle Rock, which has been occupied by humans since at least the Iron Age.
The rock is a plug of an extinct volcano, which is estimated to have risen about 350 million years ago during
the lower Carboniferous period. Edinburgh Castle was involved in many historical conflicts from the Wars of Scottish Independence in the 14th century to the Jacobite rising of 1745. The castle has become a recognisable symbol of Edinburgh and is one of the biggest tourist attractions in the city.
The Writers' Museum is housed in Lady Stair's House at the Lawnmarket on the Royal Mile. It presents
the lives of three of the foremost Scottish writers: Robert Burns, Walter Scott and Robert Louis Stevenson.
The collection includes portraits, works and personal objects.

National Gallery of Scotland (Scottish National Gallery) is located on The Mound in central Edinburgh, close to Princess Street. The gallery houses Scotland's national collection of fine art, spanning Scottish and international art from the beginning of the Renaissanance up to the start of the 20th century.
